Sling Pilot Academy is offering a Commercial Drone Pilot Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for students who are interested in aviation careers. Commercial drone pilots are professionals who operate drones for private businesses or local and federal government agencies. Drone pilots can use their skills to collect information and imagery. To apply click here.

Selection Criteria:
-Ability to start the course soon and finish before March 1, 2024
-Interested in aviation and possibly a career with either drones or as a Commercial Pilot
-Preferably in High School or recently-graduated (not essential)
-From the local area
-Students from rural areas or disadvantaged circumstances to be represented
-Ethnic minorities to be represented

Prerequisites:
Minimum age: 16
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language

Attention 10th Grade Families!

Connect High School will be hosting the PSAT on Wednesday, October 25th at 8:30am.

There will be a Google Form link emailed out to 10th grade students and their parents/guardians this afternoon – Tuesday, September 19th. If you would like to be eligible to take the PSAT, you will have to submit your request on the Google Form no later than Thursday, September 29th.

Before you submit your response, please note that:

The PSAT test will take place on Wednesday, October 25th – this is an asynchronous day for Connect HS, so you will need to arrange for transportation to the Da Vinci Connect HS campus.
There will be limited space available for 10th grade students. Not all students who register will be able to take the PSAT on October 25th.
Students will need to arrive no later than 8:30am. Late arrivals will not be admitted to the test.
Once you are registered for the PSAT, you will be notified with more information on specifics for the test date.

Free Portfolio Development Advice Opportunity for College Admissions!

The National Portfolio Day Association’s mission is to provide students who are interested in the arts with free portfolio development advice for college/university admission. Students are able to meet with counselors, admissions team members, and faculty from art and design schools for a portfolio review. Here is a list of their upcoming events. Students are highly encouraged to register soon:

S.A.G.E Voter Registration Booth

In honor of National Voter Registration Day on September 19, S.A.G.E. will have a voter registration booth in the Student Union during lunch. The registration process will be entirely done on the student’s phone by scanning the QR codes displayed on the booth. To pre-register, students must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen,
  • 16 to 17 to pre-register
  • 18 to register to vote
  • Have a picture of the last four digits of their social security number
  • Preferred – Have your California ID or driver’s license

Club Day is our chance to showcase the literary and artistic talents within our school community.. Here’s what you need to know:
