The Volunteer Center of the South Bay, Harbor and Long Beach is pleased to announce that it will once again be awarding five $2,000 scholarships to college-bound graduating seniors in our service areas.

They are looking for students who have tried to make their communities better despite financial and other hurdles.

Please see the attached the flyer for more information for the High School Student Open Call Exhibition that will open on May 14, in the lobby of the Fine Arts Complex and the Second Floor of the Library.

The exhibition is open to all High School Students to bring their artwork, video of their dance, reciting their poetry, singing, playing musical instruments, etc.

The delivery of the artwork will be on Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26, 2026 from noon until 5:00pm.

There are no entry fees and it is free to enter! El Camino wants high school students to come to the opening of the event to see their artwork in the Festival of the Arts and Enrollment Day, May 14, from 11:00 am to 9:00pm.  The reception for the exhibitions are from 4:00 pm to 9:00pm.

Food is provided at the receptions and multiple events; performances and open mic will be presented during the day and evening.  From 8:00pm – 9:00pm there will be animation videos projected on the buildings from the Music Building, Fine Arts Complex, and the Library.
