Announcements from Real World Learning Director (2.22.2024)

We are thrilled to announce that Da Vinci Schools will be hosting its first-ever Trades Fair! This event is an excellent opportunity for our students to explore various career paths and gain insights into the world of skilled trades.

Date: Thursday, March 28th
Time: 1pm to 5pm (The Trades Fair will be open to parents from 4pm to 5pm)
Location: Da Vinci Schools
Black Box Theater
201 N Douglas St. El Segundo

At the Trades Fair, students will have the chance to interact with schools from different trades, participate in hands-on activities, and learn about the diverse opportunities available in fields such as aviation mechanics, automotive technology, birthwork, construction, cosmetology and make-up artistry, dental hygienist, fire technology, welding, and more.

Attention Seniors! CSU East Bay and CSU Chico have extended their application deadlines for Fall ’24!

CSU East Bay and CSU Chico have extended their first time freshman application deadline:

CSU East Bay: deadline now April 2nd (excluding nursing major)

CSU Chico: deadline now May 31st

If you haven’t created a CSU apply account, please do that first, and CLICK HERE to create an account. You can also click that link to login to your account your already created.

Music Forward Scholarship Opportunity

2024 Scholarship Applications Now Open!

Crissel, we are excited to announce that 2024 scholarship applications are LIVE! We are looking for five incredible college students pursuing a career in music and live entertainment to award $10,000 to this year! If that sounds like you or someone you know be sure to share this message and get started on your application. Available Scholarships

Live Nation Scholarship

Established to support students interested in the core areas of Live Nation’s business, this $10,000 scholarship is designed to support students focused on concert promotion, venue operation, sponsorship, ticketing, and artist management.

Steven J. Finkel Service Excellence Scholarship

Established in memory of a Live Nation employee who went above and beyond to improve the concert experience for fans, artists and staff, this $10,000 scholarship is designed to support the ever-growing customer service expectations within the live entertainment industry.

Tiffany Green Operator Scholarship

Established in memory of one of Live Nation’s first female concert production specialists, this $10,000 scholarship is designed to support women pursuing a career in live entertainment.

David E. Ballard Scholarship

Established in 2019 in memory of David E. Ballard with the support of Inherit the Music, this $10,000 scholarship supports youth who have experienced homelessness and/or been part of the foster care system and are pursuing a career in music and live entertainment.

Gov Ball Scholarship

Established to support students native to the five boroughs of New York City, with preference to Queens, pursuing a degree in live entertainment, with a focus on music. This $10,000 scholarship will help further the student’s career pathway in performance, live production, music engineering, music business and related fields of study.

USC Troy Philippines Outreach Program Workshop 1

USC is hosting their first TPOP (Troy Philippines Outreach Program) event of the semester on Saturday, Feb. 24th from 12-2 pm. Here are some additional details:

Students will need to be dropped off at the USC Village Fountain where Troy Philippines members will be standing with the Filipino flag to greet them (parents can pick them up at this location once the event ends at 2pm)! Parents are more than welcome to walk their students to the group and meet their members. Please note that the USC Village has an underground parking lot and Trader Joes validates parking for 2 hours.

The workshop will take place at Taper Hall with engaging icebreakers, fun activities, introductions to current Troy Philippines members, and information on various career paths. Snacks and water will be provided!
