Attention all aspiring baseball players and their families! The Wiseburn DaVinci Athletics Baseball program is gearing up for an exciting new season, and we want you to be a part of it. Whether you’re aiming to join the Freshman/Sophomore team, JV squad, or the Varsity level, this is your chance to get all the essential details to prepare for the upcoming tryouts.

Join us for an important informational meeting where you’ll have the opportunity to meet Head Coach Zeek Barba and the rest of the dedicated coaching staff. They’ll be discussing everything you need to know about the 2024-25 baseball season, including:

2025 International Immersion Trip with Prometour to Costa Rica!

¡Hola, Connect High School students and families!

Connect High School is excited to announce our 2025 International Immersion Trip with Prometour! We will be travelling to Costa Rica from February 22, 2025 to March 2, 2025 and doing a homestay with local families, attending Spanish classes in the mornings, and experiencing Costa Rican culture at its core through activities such as dance and cooking classes, zipline tours, and walks through the rainforest.

Latino College Expo Saturday September 14th!

The 12th annual Latino College Expo is happening Saturday, September 14th at the University of La Verne!  At the expo, you’ll find a variety of exhibitor booths representing colleges, universities, trade schools, and other educational institutions. These booths often have representatives from the institutions who can answer questions about their programs, admission requirements, financial aid, and scholarships. The expo may offer workshops and seminars on topics such as college application strategies, financial aid and scholarships, career planning, and more. These sessions are typically conducted by experts in the field. See the flyer for more info!

Attention all soccer enthusiasts and future stars of the game! We’re excited to invite you to our Boys Soccer Information Meeting, happening on Thursday, August 29th at 5:00 PM on the West Plaza. This is a great opportunity to learn about our upcoming season, including details on the frosh/soph, junior varsity, and varsity teams, as well as practice schedules and team expectations.

🏥 Important Reminder: Sports physicals are required for tryouts and participation on the team. Make sure you’re ready by scheduling your physical before the deadline! Free sports physicals are available through Exer Urgent Care until August 31, 2024. More info HERE.

Spring 2024 Immigrant Families Night event on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, on El Camino College’s campus!

El Camino College invites Immigrant Families for an honest conversation-style presentation to address common fears, misconceptions, and unheard needs. Families will learn the responsibilities they must take on to support their students enroll in and graduate from college, as well as the resources that they are entitled to and how to access them. Finally, a call to action to get actively involved and encourage Higher Education among their families, friends, and neighbors.

Immigrant Families Night is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15th from 5:30pm until 8:30pm. It will take place at the Students Services Plaza which is located by Parking lot C and the Student Services Building on Manhattan Beach Blvd. There will be two presentations, one in English and one in Spanish.

The transition from high school to college can be challenging for students.  During the Immigrant Families Night, you will learn about:

  • Post-DACA: Why College is still worth it, pre-college checklist for parents and guardians, realities of first-gen student life, at-home support strategies, FERPA and other protections that make college safe, resources in college for undocumented students, and El Camino College’s commitment to their development and success.
