Attention 11th Grade Families!

Connect High School has secured a small number of PSAT tests to test on Wednesday October 12th. We unfortunately do not have enrough tests for all, so spots wil be awarded on a first come, first served basis. There will be a google form link posted on this blog tomorrow morning (Tues. Oct. 4th) at 9am, so if you would like to be eligible to take the PSAT, you will have to submit your request on the google form tomorrow.

Before you submit your response, please note that:

  1. The PSAT test will take place with Da Vinci Design High School on their campus at 201 N. Douglas St. El Segundo CA 90245, 4th floor
  2. The PSAT test will take place on Wednesday October 12th- this is an asynchronous day for Connect HS- so you will need to provide your own transportation to and from Da Vinci Design’s campus
  3. Students will need to arrive no later than 8:30am. Late arrivals may not being admitted to the test.

The counselors will be notifying families/students by email if a spot is available for their student to test.

FAFSA Workshop Night- October 6th @ 5 pm

Hello Seniors and Families,

On Thursday, October 6th from 5pm – 6pm Da Vinci Counselors from Design, Communications, Science and Connect will be hosting a FAFSA Workshop.

All College applicants must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to qualify for financial aid (ex. grants, loans, scholarships). The FAFSA opened on October 1st and is due no later than March 2nd for CSUs, UCs, and Community Colleges in California.

The FAFSA deadline for private and out-of-state colleges/universities vary. Please check those school’s financial aid websites and apply early!

This ZOOM webinar event will allow counselors to present inportant info and instructions on how to complete the FAFSA application. There will also be Q&A in the chat feature on ZOOM.

To fully sign and submit the FAFSA, student and parent(s) must apply for their FSA ID and have it verified.  PLEASE CREATE YOUR FSA ID PRIOR TO THE FAFSA WORKSHOP.

14 on the 14th- Virtual College Fair with 14 different liberal art colleges!

Students and Families…check out this college info opportunity:

14 on the 14th monthly virtual college fairs with 14 liberal arts colleges! Designed for prospective students, our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to get to know our institutions in-depth at their own pace.

On the 14th of each month, October through December, we will come together to offer “15 Minutes of Tips” for the college application process followed by an hour-long virtual college fair. Each institution will have its own Zoom room for students to meet with an admission officer and when available a current student or alum. The format is the same every month with different opening topics and tips.
