Attention Juniors! The Coolidge Scholarship is now open to apply to!

The 2022-23 Coolidge Scholarship application is now live.

A quick refresher: the Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that may be used by recipients for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2024 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply (current high school seniors are not eligible to apply). Winners may use the scholarship to pursue any academic major.

Academic excellence is the primary criterion considered by the Coolidge Scholarship. Secondary criteria include an interest in public policy and an appreciation of the values President Coolidge championed. Successful candidates will also demonstrate humility and have a record of genuine service to their communities. A complete description of the scholarship’s criteria is available here.

Congratulations to our Men and Women’s Cross Country Team this season. All levels competed in the Pioneer Cross Country League Finals last Wednesday. Some highlight performances were Nathanael Lincourt who led our varsity with a time of 17:20 and Alani Flores with a time of 20:13, which was her Personal Record. Nathanael is also now the school record holder in the 3 mile! While our teams will not move onto CIF, we wanted to recognize the JV Girls with a 1st Place finish and our JV Boys with 2nd place at Bell-Jeff Invitational earlier this season! Congratulations Team on your efforts this season in the Pioneer League.

Congratulations to our Women’s Volleyball Team debuting in the Pioneer League this fall season! We are proud that two of the Varsity girls earned a spot on the competitive Pioneer League 2nd Team and one of our athletes won a spot on the Pioneer League 1st Team. Our Division 7 team held their own against some tough D2 & D3 teams. We are hoping to learn from this year’s high level of play and earn a spot in playoffs next season. We ended our season with a close fight against El Segundo (20-25, 20-25, 25-23, 32-34).

Thank you all for supporting all of our athletes by attending and cheering at the games. Thank you for your participation and support in our Athletic Team fundraisers and donations!

Go Wolves!

Dia De Los Muertos celebration!

S.A.G.E would like to officially announce our community altar for Dia De los Muertos. For those who aren’t familiar with the cultural celebration, it is a time to honor loved ones who passed away, honoring them from November 1st to the 2nd. This celebration combines the ancient Aztec custom of celebrating ancestors with All Souls’ Day. We do this by placing a photo of our loved one along with any tangible item they held closest to them. You can drop off your photo and item at the front desk by NOVEMBER 1st (please put your name and cohort on a sticky note with the items). Please bring a frame for your photo if you decide to participate. The altar is located on the DVX site. We hope everyone is able to participate and hold space for remembrance during this time.

– S.A.G.E Crew 🌈🌼
