GRAMMY Camp: accepting applications now!

GRAMMY Camp is a 7-day non-residential summer music industry program for high school students interested in having a career in music. Students from across the country apply for one of the eight offered career tracks. GRAMMY Camp faculty of music professionals as well as guest industry professionals provide valuable insight to give the campers the best chance at achieving success in their chosen career.

Financial assistance is available for students who need it, and the form to apply can be found as part of the GRAMMY Camp application.

PLEASE NOTE: During GRAMMY Camp, Campers must reside with a parent/guardian or with an adult approved by the GRAMMY Museum.

All applicants must submit a short (3-5 minutes or less) video essay explaining what you hope to gain by participating in GRAMMY Camp. Some possible questions to address can include why you want to come to GRAMMY Camp; how you will benefit if accepted; your long-term career goal(s) in the music industry; and some influences in the Career Track you are applying for. Be concise. Be creative. Be yourself!

This year we are excited to announce that we will host GRAMMY Camp at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and students from across the United States are eligible to apply.

How To Apply:

  1. Complete the online application. (Please note: Parents or guardians must complete the application form on behalf of the camper.)
  2. Review video essay and career track requirements. Check out the AUDITIONS tab on grammycamp.com for guidelines and helpful hints. Applicants can apply for multiple career tracks but can only participate in one career track per GRAMMY Camp session. Each career track has unique submission requirements.
  3. Prepare and submit your materials by March 31. Upload your video essay and audition video to YouTube.com submit your link(s) to the GRAMMY Museum via the online application portal.
  4. (Optional): Complete the financial assistance form – If you are applying for needs-based financial assistance for GRAMMY Camp, have a parent or guardian complete the online Financial Assistance Form once you’ve filled out the online application. Over the past 3 years 70% of campers that applied for financial aid received some sort of assistance. Financial assistance recipients will be announced and notified by early May.
