Connect HS Schedule Reminder for Week of 3/20
Just a reminder, we will be completing NWEA/MAP test on March 20th and March 21st. The class schedule is below. Our regular class schedule (and make up tests) will resume on Thursday March 23rd.

Opportunity for Young BIPOC Musicians
The Rise Diversity Project aims to diversify the world of film and studio recordings by assembling an orchestra of young, BIPOC musicians from all across Los Angeles. The young musicians will work side-by-side with professional studio musicians and perform and record in a world-class recording studio. Students can apply by clicking here.

For students interested in animation, art, and game development:
Noggin Nickelodeon is looking for 18-24 year-olds who are interested in gaining work experience and looking for a career pathway in animation, art, game development, etc. As you can see on this flyer, there is no experience necessary to be part of this awesome opportunity. Youth will be coached and mentored by Noggin’s Award-winning industry experts. To learn more, click here.
For students interested in entrepreneurship:
iDEAS by Youth Entrepreneurship Competition: Offered by Dignity of Children, this competition is a complimentary 8-week program that will teach high school students how to build a business, create a prototype and present it to a panel of experts in a shark-tank format for a chance to win a cash prize (to launch their business) and a 3-month business mentorship to take their idea to the next level. The program is designed to empower young people to solve important problems such as poverty, injustice, health crisis, and climate change. The deadline is March 27th, 2023. Apply here.

Youth & Young Adult Job Fair on April 19, 2023, from 9am to 1pm at El Camino College
DV students were invited to participate in a Youth & Young Adult Job Fair on April 19, 2023, from 9 am to 1 pm at El Camino College. Over 50 employers will be hiring that day. The Southbay Workforce Investment Board is going to be providing DV with a bus to transport 50 students from the 201 N Douglas campus.
Please, only students serious student candidates apply. You MUST be:
- Be 16 – 24 years old
- Have a resume ready (Ideally they need to bring multiple copies with them to share)
Interested students must email Director of Real World Learning Crissel Rodriguez by Friday, March 17 and she provide you with a link and paperwork to sign up. When you email Ms. Rodriguez, you must state which Da Vinci school they are enrolled in.
