Internship Opportunity: Social Media Student Intern for WDV Athletics
WDV Athletics is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Student Intern who will help highlight athletic teams, players, and game highlights. We need a social media student intern who can post content on Instagram and Twitter, and coordinate interactions between our team social channels. This unpaid internship also offers the intern the opportunity to work in partnership with Da Vinci’s Marketing & Communications team.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail in grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Familiar with social media including Instagram and Twitter
- Graphic Design experience preferred: Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva, etc.
- Ability to engage with individuals of varying ages and backgrounds
- Self-motivated, comfortable in taking initiative
- Great attitude – willingness to learn, ability to multitask
Responsibilities for the Social Media Intern:
- Assist in managing the WDV Athletics Instagram and Twitter pages with a specific focus on sharing athlete stories, celebrating game results, featuring support for teams, sharing tryout information and upcoming games, and other relevant events
- Use graphics and photography/video to create visually appealing and creative content
- Interact with the WDV Athletics fanbase
- Report to weekly social media meeting, brainstorm ideas
This is a great opportunity for a talented student who is interested in leveraging their passion for athletics and social media/marketing. Interested applicants must be in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year. The internship will start immediately and will continue for the remaining part of the semester. Time Commitment: Approximately 3 hours per week. Most of the work will be remote.

| CollegeBoard Real Talk provides a safe space for Black students and their families to connect with colleges across the country and get their questions answered about the college planning process.
CollegeBoard is excited to be kicking off our spring events with Real Talk: HBCU Edition. HBCUs play a critical role in providing Black college students with an affirming environment and a unique campus experience that instills pride and confidence needed to pursue their dreams. In this two-night event, you’ll get to hear from 15 HBCU reps and get insider info about what makes these campuses truly unique. By the end, you and your students will be better able to decide which schools should make the cut onto their college lists. |

Hello Connect HS students and families-
We hope you all had a great week!
Don’t forget to check the DAILY TRACKER– a one stop shop for all asynchronous and synchrounous work/assignments, due dates, projects, office hours times and links, etc. Its the best way to keep up to date and on track in your classes- for students and parents/guardians. And don’t hesitiate to reach out to your teacher should you have any questions.
New this semester: if you miss a/an asynchronous assignment/s and fail to turn it in upon the due date- expect to recieve an email for a mandatory zoom session with Kene Washington- the Connect intervention counselor who will be hosting weekly (mandatory) zoom sessions to asssit any student to get back on track with the class/es and assignmet/s. We want to help ensure your success! Should you have any questions about this, please reach out to Kene at kwashington@davincischools.org
A note from the front office, please (if you have one) bring a resuable water bottle to school. We have water jugs to refill your water bottles. We don’t have an endless supply of plastic cups. Plus, resuseable water bottles are better for our environment! We thank you in advance!

Wednesday 3/2: Learning Log #4 DUE no later than 11:59pm! Please make sure all enteries complete, work samples uploaded and titled correctly, and submitted before the deadline. Thank you for all your hard work on these!
Monday 3/7- Thursday 3/10: Student Led Conferences (SLC) Week. This is a minimum day week and classes each day will end at 12:20pm each day. SLCs will take place on zoom, schedules to follow soon! Please plan your transportation accordingly for your student this week.
Friday 3/11- PD Day- no students on campus this day.
Monday 4/11-Friday 4/15- Spring Break- no school
Saturday 4/30- Wiseburn Ed Foundation’s Rock Around the Block @ Dana Middle School
