Your participation is wanted! We are looking for Connect HS students and parents to represent our program in Da Vinci Connect’s School Site Council!

School Site Council Election

Da Vinci Connect now qualifies for Title 1 funds and as a growing school, we will now have a School Site Council (SSC) made up of students, parents and staff across our TK-College community. The council will take the place of the previous “FAN” committee (K-8) and our aim is to distribute the work and decision-making to a larger group as well as implement clearer structures. Each Da Vinci School has its own SSC. The School Site Council approves long-term plans for the school, including the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and provides input on other plans such as the Learning Continuity & Attendance Plan and the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).

We will meet four times throughout the year on Wednesdays at 4 pm with additional informal council meetings held during our “Fireside Chats.” Our first meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 9th, at 4:00 on Zoom.

If you (or your student) are available to serve, please complete this short form by 5pm on Tuesday September 1st. We will be asking all families to vote to select parent representatives, students will vote for students representatives and staff will vote for staff representatives. All parents are welcome to attend School Site Council meetings, but we need officially elected parents to represent our Connect community.
