The Princeton Review is hosting PSAT Week! From October 4^th to October 6^th, and are offering a series of online events covering what strategies to use on the PSAT, how to understand PSAT Scores, and how students should begin the college search process. Students and parents can learn more about PSAT Week by clicking on the individual links below.

CLICK HERE to register for a info session with Coast to Coast, a joint travel partnership among Dartmouth College, Northwestern University, Princeton University, University of California-Berkeley, and Vanderbilt University. Because each of the institutions practices holistic admissions within a highly selective environment, they have partnered to offer insight into the seemingly complex admissions process.  There are several dates and times in September, so choose one that best fits your schedule!

Spelman College is a private, historically black, all female, liberal arts college located in Atlanta, Georgia.  Spelman was founded in 1881 and is a highly competitive college.

Families, its a great tool to stay up to date with what your student is learning in class and what assignments/assessments are due/upcoming. UCLA’s annual Fall Open House will be virtual this year and will take place from Saturday, September 25 through Thursday, September 30. To best serve our prospective students and their families, we will offer programming on Saturday and in the evenings Monday through Thursday. Students and families will have an opportunity to gain insight about the admission process, learn more about the incredible academic opportunities available to them, participate in student panels, virtually tour campus and experience Bruin pride firsthand.

Registration is required, students can make a reservation here.

Studio Orchestra is a seminar, meeting 2:15pm-4pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This time block is a combination of the overlapping DVS, DVC, & DVD and DV Connect schedules, and the “meat” of the class will be between 2:45-4pm.  Anyone with at least 1 year of Wind or String Orchestra experience is welcome to join. DV Connect HS students are welcome to join after school at 3:15pm if they have class on Tues/Thurs. If it it your asynchrounous day you are welcome to join at start time 2:15pm.

Students and parents are welcome to contact Toby Harwell (instructor) with any questions, and the first meeting will be held this Thursday, Sept. 2nd, either in the 201 music room or outdoors in the west quad area. Signs will be posted.

Students will learn about the benefits of attending college outside of California, and our RACC institutions will share information about opportunities at their schools. Hear highlights from 25 different RACC institutions at each virtual event. Students are encouraged to attend more than one and come prepared with questions. We will demystify the out-of-state admission process and cost of attendance, offer examples of scholarship opportunities and other financial aid, and discuss student life and diversity among other information to help students find their match school.
