Greetings DV Connect HS students and families-
What another great week at Connect HS! Our students are doing an excellent job following our COVID protocols to keep our community safe! Next week is a normal Mon/Thurs and Tues/Fri cohort schedule: 9:15am-3:15pm each day.
Don’t forget to check the DAILY TRACKER– a one stop shop for all asynchronous and synchrounous work/assignments, due dates, projects, office hours times and links, etc. Its the best way to keep up to date and on track in your classes- for students and parents/guardians. And don’t hesitiate to reach out to your teacher should you have any questions.
New this semester: if you miss a/an asynchronous assignment/s and fail to turn it in upon the due date- expect to recieve an email for a mandatory zoom session with Kene Washington- one of the Connect counselors who will be hosting weekly (mandatory) zoom sessions to asssit any student to get back on track with the class/es and assignmet/s. We want to help ensure your success! Should you have any questions about this, please reach out to Kene at kwashington@davincischools.org
If your student is going to be absent from school, we ask that you email Ebony Bobadilla in our front office at ebobadilla@davincischools.org to let us know. You can also call at 310-725-5800 x5208 to report an absence.

Have a nice weekend and take good care!
Due to the continuing issues with COVID, spectators will not be allowed in the gym for games or practices. Only players, coaches, trainers and people on required supervision will be allowed in the gym. It’s understood that this is not an ideal situation, but we believe this is in the best interest of everyone’s health and safety. Once spectators are allowed back in the gym we will let you know.
You can watch basketball games via live stream on the NFHS network. Click here for the link. There is a charge for this service. Once on the NFHS WDV page you can click subscribe at the top or scroll down to the game click it and it will take you to a subscription page. You can sign up for a month or year subscription.

The Association for Pre-College Program Directors is proud to present the 2021-22 Summer Pre-College Program Fairs, a series of virtual events that provide students and their families the opportunity to learn about academic summer programs at top US colleges and universities.
At each fair, attendees may visit virtual booths, where you can ask questions via text or video chat with summer program representatives.
Registration is FREE to attendees. We invite you to visit the Virtual Fairs website at https://precollegeassociation.org/fairs for complete information on dates, times, and which institutions will be represented at each event.
The next Virtual Fair will be held on January 22, 2022 from 1:00pm to 3:30pm Eastern time.
Registration for the January 22 fair is now open on the Virtual Fairs website. We recommend completing the free registration process for this event as soon as possible, as there may be more students wishing to register than can be accommodated in one fair.
Questions about the event can be submitted to the email found on the Virtual Fairs website.
Representatives from UMass Amherst Pre-College Programs will be at the next event on January 22. We hope to see you there!
