Rising Communities is an organization that has developed a Learning for Equity curriculum to address the ongoing systemic and institutional racism. Rising Communities is offering two free 10-week summer programs taking place June8th-August 12th. It is offered to high school students ages 15-18. The programs aim to provide students with valuable knowledge and skills through their virtual courses and workshops focused on policy at the local and state level. Through these programs, students will have the opportunity to learn how to be culturally responsive, practice advocacy and engage with stakeholders. Upon completing either summer program, students will receive an educational certificate accredited by Pacific Oaks College, and in recognition of their participation they will also receive a stipend of $1,000. Da Vinci Families,

I am excited to share an opportunity for senior students who are interested in photography. The Bridge program is a 16-week hybrid opportunity for emerging photographers aged 18-26. This program provides students with a platform to expand their knowledge and explore various aspects of photography. Students will receive mentorship from industry professionals to develop their projects. This program is free and the application deadline is May 26, 2023. I am excited to announce that Connect High will be hosting a Summer Gaming Opportunity for two weeks. During this program, students will have the opportunity to engage in gameplay, project design and collaboration. They will also have the chance to interact with AI-based mini games, allowing them to explore their visions of the future through their creative work. Students will have four hours a day over the course of 2 weeks (July 18- July 27), to build transformative experiences using emerging technology.
