Program Details

The program is a yearlong, no-cost leadership development opportunity, so that young people with passion can start making a difference today.

Each year, 17 high school juniors and an educator from each of their schools are selected from across the United States and Africa.

To apply, students must:

  • Attend a public high school that serves communities facing economic barriers.
  • Be a current junior enrolled in or having completed at least one advanced course (Honors, AP, IB, etc.).
  • Commit to the full yearlong program, which starts in May of their Junior year.
  • Nominate a school staff member as their educator nominee, who submits a recommendation and would participate fully in the program alongside them.

Review full eligibility for schools and students, and check out our Meet the Scholars page to learn who was selected for last year’s cohort!
