Winter Break is here!

Thank you, DV Connect HS families and students, for a wonderful semester! We appreciate you all and hope you take some time to rest and enjoy the holidays!

Winter Break is from Monday December 21, 2020- Friday January 8, 2021. The first day of school for the second semester is Monday January 11, 2021 or Tuesday January 12, 2021- depending on your assigned cohort, which will remain unchanged.

Final grades will be posted on your student’s PowerSchool account by January 8th, 2021 and report cards will be mailed home on Monday January 11, 2021.

New class schedules will be emailed on Wednesday January 6th, 2021, and the DV Connect landing page will be updated with all the new zoom links for the Spring schedule on that date, as well.

UCLA Saturday Business Institute Program

Calling all DV Connect 9th and 10th grade students!

The UCLA Saturday Business Institute program provides students with college and business exposure.  Many of our DV students have participated in the past and this is a great way to learn more about the college application process before Senior year as well as developing essential skills in leadership.  The UCLA Saturday Business Institute will meet 4 Saturdays during the Spring semester.  This year the program will be offered virtually only in webinar style.

GRAMMY Camp Los Angeles: July 2021

GRAMMY Camp Los Angeles is a 5-day nonresidential summer music industry program for high school students interested in having a career in music. Hosted on the campus of USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles, students from across the country apply for one of the eight offered career tracks. GRAMMY Camp faculty of music professionals as well as guest industry professionals provide valuable insight to give the campers the best chance at achieving success in their chosen career.

Financial assistance is available for students who need it.

The printable version link above has info about each track and the required supplemental material to apply for each track. Please make sure if you are uploading video to YouTube and want only the GRAMMY Camp selection committee to see your video, that your video is marked “unlisted” and NOT “private.” If your video is marked “private” our screeners will not be able to view the video. If this is the case, we will attempt to contact you to correct it, but it may put your application and eligibility in jeopardy.
