Calling All Da Vinci Connect High School Students!

Please join us for the first social event of the year for Connect High School, the Western Harvest Festival. 

On Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the West Plaza at 201 N. Douglas Street we invite you to come and enjoy food, games, music, fun and prizes, all for FREE!  Please follow the school dress code, and although this is not a Halloween event and no costumes are allowed, feel free to dress in your best country western gear if you like.   Don’t miss out, we look forward to seeing you there!

*Note: This event is open to Da Vinci Connect High students only, no guests, thank you.

The International University Virtual Fair is TODAY at 6pm Eastern Time! (3pm PST)

There is still time for your students to register for this FREE EVENT, with top international universities.

At this fair your students will be able to speak FACE to FACE with representatives from some of the best universities in the world about a wide variety of educational programs that are in many cases much more affordable than other top institutions.

Today is the day! Learning Log #1 is due TODAY by 11:59pm. Please have this fully filled out, completed, and submitted before then. We thank you for all your hard work on these!

Mark your calendars for the Bike Safety Class that will be hosted on our 201 campus on October 13th at 5:30 pm! Guests will learn rules for biking, bike safety skills, review laws for motorists interacting with bikes & more.

Learning Log #1 is due TOMORROW, Tuesday, October 5th at 11:59pm. Please make sure that you have all work samples, correct dates, and it filled out completely before submitting. Have a question or need help? Please ask your advisory teacher. We thank you for your hard work on this!

Da Vinci Connect High School will continue to operate at the current facilities at 201 N. Douglas.  There will be no change in location or schedule.  A more detailed update regarding the new Da Vinci Connect High School campus located at 550 Continental Blvd will be provided in the near future. Thank you to all the students and staff for your flexibility and for making the most of the current situation. Much appreciated and please stay tuned . . .

We had a great week of MAP testing! Thank you to the students for your time and energy with this!

Attention 9th and 10th grade families, the counseling team is hosting a “9th and 10th Grade College Info” night on Wednesday, October 20th at 6pm-7pm on Erin’s ZOOM LINK. We will be discussing what to do now for college, GPAs, HS grad requirements, and more. We look forward to seeing you there!

Next week is a normal cohort schedule: Monday/Thursday and Tuesday/Friday, 9:15am-3:15pm.

Dr. Emily Green may have reached out to you regarding your student’s immunizatons- if she has- please respond to her ASAP!

As always, CLICK HERE for the link to the Daily Tracker, a “one stop shop” for all assignments, due dates, test dates, homework, projects, etc.! Its a great tool to use to build your asynchronous at home work days. Students and families can both use it to stay on top of all classes.

This fall the California Department of Education (CDE) will be launching the State Superintendent of Public Instruction’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC). The YAC will be working directly with policymakers and educational partners to provide equitable change to the California education system. If you are passionate and interested in contributing to building a better tomorrow for all learning institutions, please apply by the October 15th deadline. For more information on the YAC and the requirements to join please see the attached flyer.

Hope everyone had a nice week.

Below is the schedule for next week- you will notice that MAP testing is after lunch, and all classes will be shortened and ending before lunch to accomodate this. MAP testing will take place in your student’s advisories on their normal cohort days: Monday/Thursday, and Tuesday/Friday next week. Please let us know if you have any questions about this.
