Da Vinci Families,
Rising Communities is an organization that has developed a Learning for Equity curriculum to address the ongoing systemic and institutional racism. Rising Communities is offering two free 10-week summer programs taking place June8th-August 12th. It is offered to high school students ages 15-18. The programs aim to provide students with valuable knowledge and skills through their virtual courses and workshops focused on policy at the local and state level. Through these programs, students will have the opportunity to learn how to be culturally responsive, practice advocacy and engage with stakeholders. Upon completing either summer program, students will receive an educational certificate accredited by Pacific Oaks College, and in recognition of their participation they will also receive a stipend of $1,000. The application deadline is May 29th at 11:59pm. Feel free to reach out to me for any questions at ehernandezrosas@davincischools.org .
